Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
Jaimie (“we”, “us”) is a household organisation assistant accessible via WhatsApp and jaimie.tech. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
What we collect
Account details you provide at signup: household name, your name, email address, and WhatsApp number (linked automatically when you tap “Connect via WhatsApp” — you never type it in).
Content you or your household members send us: calendar events, tasks, shopping list items, documents you forward (e.g. renewal notices), and the messages you exchange with Jaimie needed to act on your requests.
If you connect Google Calendar, we store an OAuth token to sync events on your behalf. You can disconnect this anytime from Account → Integrations, which revokes our access.
If your household has a paid plan, Stripe processes payment details directly — we never see or store your card number. We keep only your subscription status and billing history reference.
Basic technical data: IP address and browser/device type when you sign in (used only for session security, e.g. showing you what's logged in under Account → Sessions).
How we use it
To run the core product: create and remind you about events/tasks, answer questions about your household's schedule, send morning/evening briefings, and sync with Google Calendar if connected.
To keep the service reliable and secure: detecting bugs, rate-limiting abuse, and (with your consent via notification preferences) sending occasional tips or product updates.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your household's data to train third-party AI models.
Who can see your data
Your household's calendar, tasks, and shopping list are visible only to members of that household. Events or tasks you mark private are visible only to you. Jaimie staff can access data only to investigate a bug you've reported or a security issue — never to browse household content casually.
Third parties we rely on
Each of these providers processes only what's needed for their function and is bound by their own privacy commitments:
- Anthropic (Claude API, US) — processes the content of your WhatsApp and Telegram messages, forwarded emails, and uploaded images so jaimie can understand and act on them. Anthropic does not train on this data.
- Twilio — WhatsApp messaging: carries your messages to and from jaimie, including any images or PDFs you send.
- Telegram — if you connect Telegram (optional), carries your messages to and from jaimie on that channel, including your briefings and reminders. Telegram is a separate company with its own privacy policy, and messages to a bot are not end-to-end encrypted. Nothing goes to Telegram unless you link a chat yourself, and disconnecting stops it.
- Postmark — receives emails you forward to jaimie for ingestion.
- Resend — delivers jaimie's emails to you (sign-in links, briefings).
- Google — if you connect Google Calendar (optional), event data syncs with Google.
- Apple (iCloud CalDAV) — if you connect Apple Calendar, event data syncs with Apple.
- Stripe — billing (optional): payment details go to Stripe directly; we never see your card number.
- Fly.io — application hosting: our servers and database run on Fly.io in Singapore.
Google API Services — Limited Use disclosure
If you connect Google Calendar, jaimie requests access to read and create events on your calendar solely to sync your household's schedule and show it back to you — nothing more.
jaimie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: we do not use this data to serve ads, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, to investigate a bug or abuse report you've raised, to comply with the law, or as part of the security review of the app itself.
Google Calendar access is entirely optional, and disconnecting it (Account → Integrations) revokes our access immediately and deletes the stored token.
How long we keep data
We keep different kinds of data for different lengths of time, matched to what they're for:
- Images and PDFs you send on WhatsApp — deleted automatically the day after the event they relate to. If one can't be linked to an event date, it's deleted 90 days after upload.
- Forwarded emails — the full email content is purged 90 days after the item is processed or dismissed; we keep only the summary and basic details after that.
- Reminders — removed 30 days after they fire.
- Sign-in sessions — expire after 90 days.
- Sign-up records — once your household is created, the temporary sign-up record has done its job. Thirty days later we erase the name, email address and household name from it, keeping only the date and how you found us.
- Tasks, events, and shopping history — kept while your account is active, so questions about past events (“when was the last dentist visit?”) keep working.
- Document vault and health records — kept until you delete them; that's what the vault is for.
If you delete your account (Account → Delete Account), your household's data is permanently removed immediately. This cannot be undone and there is no recovery window, so if you want to keep a copy, export it first — Account → Profile → “Export my data”.
How we protect your data
All connections to jaimie — via WhatsApp, the web app, and between our systems — are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and your data is encrypted at rest. Your household's data is logically isolated from every other household's: our systems are built so that requests, calendar entries, and account information can only be accessed within your own household's account, never another's.
Access to production data is restricted to what's needed to run and maintain the service. As noted above, we don't allow anyone to read your data except with your consent, to investigate a bug or abuse report you've raised, to comply with the law, or as part of a security review of the app itself. We run automated monitoring to detect unusual access patterns and respond quickly if something looks wrong.
We keep your data only as long as it's needed — see “How long we keep data” above. When you delete your account, your household's data is permanently and immediately removed, as described above.
If there's a data breach
If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you significant harm, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), as required by the PDPA.
Your rights
You can export your household's data or delete your account at any time from Account settings. You can ask us what data we hold on you, correct it, or raise a concern by messaging Jaimie on WhatsApp with “/telljaimie” or emailing us.
Children's data
Households commonly add children's names, birthdays, and school events. This is entered and managed by the adult household admin — Jaimie does not knowingly collect data directly from children, and children are not account holders.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify active households via WhatsApp or email before they take effect.
Data protection officer
We have designated a data protection officer responsible for our compliance with Singapore's PDPA. To reach them with any data protection question or request, email myjiating2426@gmail.com.
